The best hike in LA

This past Friday, I took the day off from work and went on a hike with a friend. It was the best hike I've been on yet in LA. Maybe it was the company, maybe it was the hike, or maybe I was just soo happy not to be at work that day.
I love my job. Sure there's bad days. Days which I wish never existed. But, overall I have great co-workers and we design awesome projects. This past month has been one of those which I wish didn't exist. My team has been staying late at night and giving up weekends to prepare for our design review. Last Wednesday, one week before our review, the customer informed us there were some interference issues with their system. They had know about the problem for a month, but neglected to tell us. Ugh. After I heard this, I decided to only work a half day on Thursday and take Friday off. It was a much needed day off.
Back to the hike. Solstice Canyon in Malibu is a great hike. There's the Keller stone house built in the 1800s, the ruins of a mansion by the river and a lot of little waterfalls and pools. The water is soo cold.
