Arguments with God

Ever have an argument with God? Right now we're not doing well. I'm very upset and frustrated about the whole thing. Not just one thing, but a lot of things. I feel like Job. Granted, Job was much worse off than I am, but he sought one question, "why?" That's all I want to know also.

The worst part about having an argument with God is that in the end, I know He's going to be right.

Hello AMT,

I'm sorry things are going roughly for you at this time, hopefully they will get better soon.

I skimmed through your blog and saw that you've recently been to Israel. So I thought something might interest you for three reasons. Let me explain what it is:

As you know, during His sufferings, Jesus remained silent. The gospel accounts are written through the apostle's eyes. But the Old Testament prophets foretold the same events in very great detail, and most of this prophecy was in first person, so it shows us what Jesus was thinking st the time.

The prophecy is so extensive it can actually be harmonized into story form to tell the complete passion narrative form that perspective. And since it is in first person, it sounds like Jesus Himself telling the story. Here's the link if you'd like to see what this looks like:

The Sufferings and the Glory

Second reason, I think this testimony can speak loudly to Christians that when things are tough, God is still fully in control. And Jesus has gobe through it all beforehand.

Third, this link shows us how the devil gets his head bruised through the sufferings of Christ, and it sounds like you've been in a fight with him lately, so I thought you might find this encouraging.

If you like the link, please pass it along to some of your friends (maybe some in Israel?)

in Him,
Loren
