Computers
My computer and I are not getting along today. It keeps on crashing. I keep on asking it to do simple things. In response the monitor blinks a few times, then freezes, then shows me the blue screen.
I've spent a considerable amount of time today trying to decide on a proper punishment. If it doesn't behave, I will disassemble it and cast it's parts to the four corners of the building. It's a modern day equivalent of being drawn and quartered.
Okay, okay, that might be a bit harsh. Maybe just sending it to surplus would be enough.

if you don't need the information it contains, you could always take it out to a field and treat it like the fax machine in "Office Space."
haven't you heard the expression, 'honey catches more flies than vinegar?' maybe you should try saying nice things to your computer instead of planning to draw and quarter it -- it can read your mind, you know...
