Nodding off in class

The worst part of falling asleep (or being in the process of falling asleep) in class is getting caught. That's what happened to me. This past Saturday I was really tired during class. It was just one of those mornings where I couldn't keep my eyes open. Unfortunatly, I have class on Saturday mornings, so sleeping in was not an option. I came to class and sat in my regular seat: a few rows back in the middle. I was continually fighting the urge to close my eyes. The prof suddenly stops midsentence, looks at me and calls out my name. He then quickly went back to his lecture.

I couldn't remember for sure if he called out my name or if it's just something I imagined. So Monday I asked a couple classmates about it and sure enough it was definitly not part of my imagination.

hee. one time in class my friend let me fall asleep while trying to take notes (which were gibberish) - I wake up to find she wrote, "WAKE UP SLEEPY BOY!" in red ink. Not that she nudged me or anything. Not that it wasn't a 12 person space-math class at 8am Tuesdays/Thursdays... good friends are tough to come by. ;-)
